For the future of Agoura Hills

Working for each and every corner of Agoura Hills to promote and protect our community.

Nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains, Agoura Hills is my lifelong home and I have dedicated my career and my life to this remarkable city and its people.

From Agoura Chargers to City Hall

I am running for Agoura Hills City Council because I love this city and strongly believe in the shared values that bring us together. I was raised here and shaped by our open space, high quality public schools, and a community that comes together in times of need. I am dedicated to maintaining, and improving, the quality of life for those who call Agoura Hills home. I have both the experience and the vision to represent all of Agoura’s residents.

I am a product of the Las Virgenes Unified School District and a proud Agoura High Charger. I grew up in this community and have built my life here in Agoura Hills. Having spent nearly a decade working for the people of the city, I have the experience to continue working to preserve our local ecosystem as well as taking a common sense approach to development that reflects the character of Agoura Hills that we all know and love. As the Chair of the Agoura Hills Planning Commission and the District Director for the California State Senator representing Agoura Hills, I work with local government officials and residents every day for the unique needs of our City.

Ten years ago, when I volunteered to take lead in the City’s Annual Creek Clean Up, I quickly realized our City’s collective capacity to do good together and build a community that reflects our passion for improving our environment. I am proud of how the Annual Creek Clean Up has evolved from a small event that drew a dozen volunteers to one that now brings out hundreds of volunteers and last year removed over 30,000 pounds of trash from our local waterways.

My passion for protecting our local environment grew from that first Annual Creek Clean Up. In 2014, I successfully advocated for a city resolution urging businesses to stop using or selling anticoagulant rodenticides to protect the precious wildlife populations we live alongside. I am also very proud of my work to partner with community leaders to save the Chesebro Meadow, now called the Fran Pavley Meadow. This open space is now protected against future development so it can continue to be a local natural treasure for generations to come.

I serve as the District Director for Agoura Hills’ State Senator, overseeing an office that serves nearly 1 million people in our region. I recently helped secure key state funding to save Triangle Ranch and build the Liberty Canyon Wildlife Crossing, increase education around wildfire protection efforts, and support people and business throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Knowing how difficult the past two years have been, I led our office’s effort to guide local businesses through the federal loan application process and worked to help thousands of Conejo Valley, San Fernando Valley, and Ventura County residents get the unemployment benefits they were entitled to receive. I saw firsthand how government can work to help people when they need it most, and I want to bring my experience to the City Council to work on behalf of the people of Agoura Hills.

As the Chair of the Agoura Hills Planning Commission, I am intimately involved with the policies related to planning, land use regulation, and community development. I am focused on ensuring our community is in the best position possible when facing natural disasters and that we all have easy access to our roads.  By working together, we can continue to deliver on what makes our home special.

I love Agoura Hills, and I am ready to bring a fresh vision and energy to the City that has given me so much.
